Golden hour at the local community dump

The entire weekend, it was just Maja and I because Laura decided to go to Marrakech for a few days. In order to not bore Maja completely, I had a few fun-activities planned. Saturday we spent most of the day in a swimming pool (www.vattenpalatset.nu) and on sunday we ate an lunch at Café Karma after which we saw a movie : Despicable Me, or Dumma Mej in Swedish. When the movie was finished we drove around enjoying the beautiful weather. The last hour before the sun sets, the light turns almost yellow / orange and the photographers’ term for it is “Golden Hour”. Taking advantage of this golden light is a trick used to create beautiful pictures.  When looking to take some picture of what promised to be a beautiful sunset, behind the local RC-airport we found a cool setting for some pictures: a community-dumping-grounds where we found concrete piping, heaps and heaps of leaves, old pavement, tar, etc.

Maja was eager to pose for some pictures (she choose all poses herself) and I was eager to take them! Check them out below… I’m not completely proud of every single one of them, but I decided to show them anyway.

PS: my “picture a day” project is still running. Click here to see that project’s status
